Base Categories

A resident of Vila Mapa in Lomba do Pinheiro in Porto Alegre, then E.M. student Heitor Villa-Lôbos attracted the attention of teachers during ball activities. He ended up receiving an invitation to audition at a Grêmio partner in Viamão in the Metropolitan Region. After three days of testing, Lincoln was integrated into the base categories of the club from Rio Grande do Sul in 2007. Lincoln comes from a family of football players, in addition to his brother Rincon, who had a passage in the base categories of Corinthians, and today plays for the Guaratinguetá team of the series C of the Brazilian, the father, Natalício, already deceased, played in the floodplain of Porto Alegre, as well as the older brother of the Oliveira dos Santos family, Natalicio Rick Davis. In 2012, the athlete's mother, Dona Clode, was surprised by the arrival of representatives of the investor group DIS Esporte (Group headed by businessman Delcir Sonda) at her old address in the Lomba do Pinheiro neighborhood. This contact, when the player was still 14 years old, changed his life and the life of his family, starting with a new home in Bairro Guarujá, in the south of Porto Alegre. In Grêmio's base categories, in addition to the Brazilian Under-15 title, Lincoln was present in 7 state championships.

Selection Base Categories

Possui passagens pelas categorias de base da Seleção Brasileira desde os 13 anos de idade. Em 2013 Lincoln se envolveu em polêmica com o então coordenador técnico das categorias de base da Seleção BrasileiraAlexandre Gallo. O coordenador repreendeu o atleta publicamente em uma palestra devido ao seu corte de cabelo que continha escrito "L10". O atleta irritado com a situação por ter virado alvo de chacota, em oportunidade deixou de apertar a mão do técnico Luiz Gabardo Nunes, fato que fez com que não estivesse na lista de convocados para a Copa das Nações, no México. Após ter entendido o recado, o atleta resolveu raspar a cabeça e deixar para trás o visual arrojado, assim, voltou a ser convocado em outras oportunidades. A convocação para o Campeonato Sul-Americano de Futebol Sub-17 de 2015 foi sua sexta convocação para as seleções de base.

Para o Mundial Sub-17 realizado no Chile, foi escolhido capitão da equipe, posto que havia assumido na última partida do Sul-Americano no Chile.

Grêmio - Start as a professional

On August 18, 2014 Lincoln participated in a training session with the reserves of the main group of Grêmio, his performance caught the attention of coach Luiz Felipe Scolari. However, he had not yet turned 16 and had no signed contract, so he was not integrated into the group and continued in the youth ranks. On December 10, 2014, Lincoln signed a 3-year contract with Grêmio (until the end of 2017) making it possible for him to join the Tricolor Gaucho main squad. The midfielder has his economic rights divided into 50% for the gaucho club and 40% for DIS Esporte, with the remaining 10% being from the partner school where the player was picked up as a child.

 

His debut match as a professional was for the 1st round of Gauchão 2015, against União Frederiquense, with a 3-0 victory,[8] at the age of 16 years and 86 days. Almost four months later came his first goal for the main team, where he scored in the 48th minute of the second half the second goal of Grêmio against the Campinense team for the first phase of the Copa do Brasil, at the age of 16 years and 159 days.

 

In 2015, Lincoln was chosen by the British newspaper 'The Guardian' as one of the 50 greatest promises of international football, in a list released by the English. Along with the young Grêmio player, there were two other Brazilians: Evander Ferreira, from Vasco da Gama and Matheus Pereira, from Corinthians.

 

In the 2016 season, he received an opportunity as a starter in the first match of the year, when Grêmio put a reserve team to face Avaí for the Primeira Liga away from home, having already offered his first assist of the season and suffered a missed penalty by Bobô in the draw. in 2 to 2.

 

On March 15, 2016, aged 17 years and 130 days, he scored the equalizing goal against San Lorenzo in the 4th round of the Copa Libertadores group stage, becoming the youngest Grêmio player to score a goal in the Libertadores, surpassing the previous mark of Ronaldinho Gaúcho, who had made it at the age of 18.

 

On March 20, 2016, Lincoln scored Grêmio's second goal in a 2-1 victory against Ypiranga, in the 10th round of the 2016 Campeonato Gaúcho. With that, the striker reached the third goal scored in three different games, being the first to achieve the feat since the arrival of Roger Machado at Grêmio, as he had previously scored against Cruzeiro/RS and San Lorenzo.

Loans and transfer to CD Santa Clara

A Little used at Grêmio, Lincoln ended up being loaned to Rizespor, from Turkey, in 2017. In the Middle East club, the attacking midfielder was champion of TFF 1. Lig, the Turkish second division. The negotiation yielded R$ 2 million to Grêmio coffers at the time.

 

In 2018, he was again not used by Renato Gaúcho and ended up being loaned to América Mineiro. The following year, he came to train with the main team of Grêmio, but did not continue in the 2019 season and ended up being definitively released to Santa Clara, from Portugal, with the Brazilian club maintaining twenty percent of the athlete's economic rights. 

Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübü

He currently plays for Fenerbahçe, a top-flight club in Türkiye.
